It can also be linked easily to bridge systems through a single Ethernet cable.

Novaco founding director Yiorgos Palierakis said: “It’s simple to install and immediately provides valuable information to vessel and shore, using smart technology from Novaco. Officers rightly demand the most efficient ways to maintain charts, publications, and other navigation data on their vessels. We developed NovacoHub as a reliable and cyber-secure solution, enabling them to automatically maintain compliant charts, publications, and related information.

“It’s a clever little box, no bigger than 24cm in length that not only delivers and integrates secure navigation data to the bridge but also provides real-time tracking and vessel positioning information. While we built it to be a standalone product for any vessel, ECDIS or PC, it also integrates seamlessly with NovacoBridge for complete navigation and fleet tracking solution.”

The solution will eradicate the security and virus risk that comes with DVDs and USB sticks, delivering safe navigation data to the vessel.

As a result, navigation officers will have direct access to AVCS, ADP, AIO, and AeNP base files, along with updates to both their ECDIS and also eReaders on a PC or laptop.

No updates will be missed while maintaining digital charts and publications as the solution will provide the latest NtM information for vessels.

According to the requirement, the officers will be able to access digital publications, NavArea warnings and all existing updates for paper charts and ENCs.

It can also work with Novaco’s PAYS delivery of AVCS charts that fall under the keel.

NovacoHub’s free tracking information functions independently without relying on the ship’s bridge systems and on current bridge AIS, GPS, or radar.

Furthermore, the solution will maintain the positional account of all the vessels.

With multiple installations of NovacoHub, companies can track their entire fleet free of charge.

Its report on the vessel’s position, course, and speed can also be accessed by any networked device on the ship or by port-based crews.

NovacoHub can also map IMO, MMSI, call sign, vessel name, and position of ships, navigating up to a 48km radius from the host ship.
