The scope of the agreement includes providing maximised engine uptime and long-term cost predictability. It also involves improvement in maintenance for better efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced diagnostics, Wärtsilä’s Expert Insight digital predictive maintenance solution enables real-time monitoring of onboard equipment and systems.

Inconsistencies will be highlighted to specialists at Wärtsilä Expertise Centres.

Wärtsilä agreement sales director Henrik Wilhelms said: “When we introduced Expert Insight, we said that it would take predictive maintenance to the next level, and this has proven to be the case.

“It is a hugely beneficial service that forms the basis for better asset management decisions and increased operational efficiency. This lowers both operational cost, as well as emissions.”

Both LNG vessels will feature Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel engines.

The agreement also covers all spare parts, dynamic maintenance planning, remote operational support, field services, and workshop services.

Wärtsilä is serving more than 260 LNG carriers, under OMAs.
