Carnival brand Princess Cruises has revealed a plan to modernise its Caribbean Princess cruise ship with an investment of an undisclosed sum.

Renovations are set to begin on 26 March for a two-week period, and will see the vessel equipped with a variety of new offerings such as the Camp Discovery Youth & Teen Centre.

The upgrade will feature a new HD Movies Under the Stars outdoor cinema screen, the addition of 3,200 Princess Luxury Beds to its cabins, as well as 87 new interconnecting staterooms to offer additional room for family members.

Improvement works are also set to include the addition of Ocean Medallion class to Caribbean Princess, and are intended to attract customers ahead of the upcoming Europe summer and fall Caribbean seasons.

The company’s new Camp Discovery Youth & Teen Centre offering is aimed to cater to the cruisers between the age group of three and 17. It has three camp and sea discovery programmes, The Treehouse, The Lodge, and The Beach House.
