GMC Group was founded in 1973 as a provider of products and services to the marine and offshore industry. We offer a complete range of services within the areas of marine and offshore projects.

GMC is an independent company with a ‘can do’ attitude. Our experienced staff are recognised for their industry expertise and dedicated to meeting the specific requirements of each customer.

Since its formation during the 1970s, the company has steadily expanded its geographical coverage and range of operations. We are proud to serve customers in the shipping, logistics and marine industry throughout Northern Europe.

Our well-equipped facilities include a 210m long deepwater berth, an indoor warehouse covering 7,000m², and an outdoor storage space measuring 35,000m².

Winches and hoists from GMC are heavy-duty equipment, particularly suitable for working in difficult environments; an example is this 5t lifting air winch.

GMC services include ship clearance, nautical charts, ship repair and dry-docking.

Marine and offshore cranes

GMC is also a recognised supplier of cranes, winches and lifting equipment for the shipping industry. Our range of cranes for marine and offshore applications include:

  • Knuckle jib cranes 1t to 150t
  • Fixed boom cranes 1t to 500t
  • Telescope cranes 1t to 500t
  • Davits 1t to 100t

GMC provide cost effective maritime solutions by utilising the highest marine quality crane technology. We have manufactured over 700 GMC cranes to ship and rig owners internationally.

All GMC cranes are manufactured in accordance with Norwegian standard 5514, FEM crane standard and DIN 15018. Certificates are available on request, from DnV, GL, LRS, ABS, NK and other certifying institutions.

Onboard winches and hoists

Winches and hoists from GMC are heavy-duty equipment, particularly suitable for working in difficult environments such as offshore, marine, public works, heavy industries and mining. Each unit is provided with a test certificate covering construction and performance.
