Netherlands-based Intertech BV has become a representative of Datum Electronics for torque sensors and shaft power measurement solutions in the Dutch market.
The company was founded in 1986 and has become a leading specialist in power transmission and motion control products, enabling clients to enhance the productivity and quality of products, simultaneously decreasing the cost of production.
As part of the agreement, Intertech will be representing Datum’s products in areas that include torque sensors, torque transducers, torque meters, marine shaft power meters, and wind turbine condition monitoring systems.
Alexander Kühne of Intertech stated: “We at Intertech are all very excited to join forces with Datum Electronics, a company obviously thriving upon the success of their products within the marine market.
“The Datum range fits extremely well within our existing portfolio and we look forward to working on exciting projects, utilising them, with our current and new customers.
“The Marine Shaft Power system is an especially well-suited addition to our product range and the features of the upcoming Diesel Hawk upgrade will further complement our offering to the marine market.”
Over the last three decades, Intertech has been serving petrochemical, power generation, marine, as well as general industrial applications and we believe Datum torque sensors will become a valuable addition to Intertech’s existing range of products.
All of Datum’s torque sensors and shaft power measurement solutions benefit from truly precise electronics, ground-breaking technologies and flexible designs.
Paul Lynch, contracts and sales manager at Datum Electronics said: “Intertech has a long-standing reputation of providing their customers with comprehensive solutions in response to complex problems and applications. Here at Datum Electronics, we share the same vision and often go to great lengths to find the best possible solution, with the shortest possible lead time.”
Furthermore, Intertech will also be representing our Datum Marine Shaft Power meter systems, which were recently endorsed by Oldendorff Carriers GmbH. Being a member of the ‘Netherlands Maritime Technology’ organisation, Intertech will facilitate communications with the local marine market, providing more information about our revolutionary shaft power meter systems.
Designed to provide real fuel savings, the shaft power meters are aimed at helping ship owners and operators to lower their operational costs and comply with the newest environmental regulations.
Mark Gladdis, marine product manager of Datum Electronics spoke: “This year we have received an enormous amount of positive feedback, for our Marine Shaft Power Meter systems. We secured an exclusive contract with Oldendorff Carriers, acquired local representation in Greece and Germany and partnered with numerous system houses, to create a complete solution for marine customers, at very competitive prices.
“We expect our partnership with Intertech will help us serve the Dutch and Belgian client base with an immediate effect, to provide a better understanding of the Datum marine Shaft Power Meter system, as well as the new condition-based monitoring upgrade.”
