Wärtsilä Yuchai Engine Company (WYEC), the joint venture (JV) of Wärtsilä and Yuchai Marine Power (YCMP), has been contracted to supply two 16-cylinder Wärtsilä 32 engines for a new sand pumping vessel being constructed at China’s Dongguan Xiandai Shipbuilding yard.

The deliveries are expected to start in mid-2017, while the ship is scheduled for delivery in May 2018.

Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry has reached an agreement with Arnold Transit Company to acquire the latter’s Arnold Line passenger service assets.

The transaction will provide the former with ownership of five ferries, one freight boat, four docks, a boatyard, as well as parking lots and ticket booths in Michigan’s Mackinaw City and St Ignace.
