The vessel is the fourth in a series that includes L’Austral, Le Boreal and Le Soleal, which were delivered in May 2010, April 2011 and June 2013 respectively.

Similar to the earlier vessels, the new-build also features advanced environmentally friendly technology, Fincantieri has said.

"Le Lyrial’s small size will allow it to easily transit through ports and destinations that are inaccessible to larger vessels."

The 11,000gt vessel is 142m-long, 18m-wide and able to comfortably house 260 passengers. Its 122 cabins include deluxe suites, privilege suites and grand privilege suites with sea views; 94% of the cabins will have a private balcony.

Le Lyrial’s small size will allow it to easily transit through ports and destinations that are inaccessible to larger vessels. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies, the ship will offer energy saving benefits and minimise environmental impacts.
