Oceania Cruises has launched a new initiative known as OceaniaNEXT, which will involve the modification of its Regatta, Insignia, Sirena, and Nautica ships with a total investment of $100m.
The OceaniaNEXT development is expected to see the creation of 1,368 new suites and staterooms, as well as 1,400 new marble bathrooms on-board the four 684-guest vessels.

A total of 8,000 new light fixtures along with 12,000 new sofas and chairs will be installed on the four ships as part of the plan.
More than 1,000 artisans and craftsmen are expected to be involved in the overhaul programme.

Insignia is set to be the first ship to debut under the OceaniaNEXT initiative and the vessel is slated to be re-launched by December.
Sirena and Regatta are scheduled to follow next year, while Nautica will be re-introduced by June 2020.
Studio DADO, a US-based design and concept studio specialising in luxury residential and hospitality projects, will be responsible for designing the planned refurbishments.
Oceania Cruises currently operates a fleet of six luxurious ships that are capable of carrying either 684 or 1,250 guests each.
