Oceania Cruises has launched a new initiative known as OceaniaNEXT, which will involve the modification of its Regatta, Insignia, Sirena, and Nautica ships with a total investment of $100m.
The OceaniaNEXT development is expected to see the creation of 1,368 new suites and staterooms, as well as 1,400 new marble bathrooms on-board the four 684-guest vessels.
A total of 8,000 new light fixtures along with 12,000 new sofas and chairs will be installed on the four ships as part of the plan.
More than 1,000 artisans and craftsmen are expected to be involved in the overhaul programme.
Oceania Cruises president and CEO Bob Binder said: “OceaniaNEXT will be the most extensive and comprehensive suite of product and guest service enhancements that we have ever undertaken.
“Our Regatta-class ships are like second homes to our loyal guests and travel partners.
