After a Covid-19 induced pause, Martechnic has resumed its exhibition and trade fair activities and will be attending the international shipping exhibition ‘Posidonia’ from the 6-10 June in Athens, Greece.

Regarding the challenges which the global maritime community is currently experiencing, Martechnic considers Posidonia as a unique platform for all international maritime stakeholders to provide dialogue and network possibilities to discuss the following key themes:

  • International environmental regulations and the process of decarbonisation
  • International shipping and geopolitical challenges
  • Sustainable development
  • Digitalisation in the international shipping sector

In its 25th anniversary year, Martechnic’s Managing Director Frank Herholdt will be presenting the company’s journey and business achievements in the oil quality management. High-quality products for regular/continuous on-site condition monitoring of fuel, lube, and hydraulic oil will be showcased, including:

  • Portable oil test devices
  • Oil test kits for multiple parameters
  • Intelligent oil sensor technology
  • Oil sampling products
  • Ultrasonic cleaning equipment

A special focus will be put on innovative technical solutions of the company in line with its digitalisation concept which can effectively support the transition phase of the introduction and testing period of alternative fuel solutions. Through the adoption of oil condition monitoring practices or in-service oil testing, engine operators are able to independently and routinely measure, monitor, and analyse crucial oil parameters directly on board a vessel. Smooth running, optimal and reliable performance, and cost-effective maintenance of on-board machinery, engine, and equipment can therefore be provided.

Oil condition monitoring programs can also help to comply with international norms and standards of environmental protection aiming at minimising environmental impact, supporting sustainable development, and saving precious resources.
