It won awards for Business Expansion, Environmental, and Financing, for its growth, carbon emissions tracking and compliance modules, and automated invoicing features.

The 2025 awards reflect a shipping industry transitioning from pilots to practical, industry-scale transformation driven by strong regulation, capital, and partnerships. Leaders are leveraging digitalisation, decarbonisation, and elevated stakeholder expectations to reshape how value is created and delivered.

Sustainability features prominently winners are deploying cleaner fuels, wind-assist systems, energy-saving hull designs, and onboard carbon capture. Becker’s anti-leeway daggerboards and Lumut’s adaptive dredging method are transforming efficiency and emissions outcomes at operational scale.

AI and modern software tools are now central to operations and commercial processes. SecureLoad unifies loading/stability planning ship–shore; Xeneta streamlines freight contracts with index-based simulations; Veson’s CoCaptain automates claims processing—all reducing manual work and accelerating workflows.

Business expansion is through system complexity. MariApps, Sedna, and Ankeri are broadening global reach through acquisitions, partnerships, and end-to-end platforms that combine emissions, invoicing, operations, and compliance.

Regulatory alignment and measurable environmental impact are now prerequisites for investment. Firms like BASS Software are embedding ESG, cybersecurity, and audit-ready reporting, while capital flows toward technologies that can validate emissions savings.

Safety, diversity, and social impact are now core components of corporate strategy. Flyability’s remote inspection drones mitigate risk; companies are setting DEI targets and instituting workforce development programs; environmental safety in new fuel handling and pollution control is in sharper focus.

Modular, retrofit-friendly product design leads new solution launches-whether AI-powered tools, wind-assist kits, or digital twin inspection platforms, interoperability and compliance readiness are central.

This year’s winners demonstrate that competitive edge in shipping comes from integrating decarbonisation, digitalisation, fleet structure, infrastructure strategy, and social value. Their actions show that the question is no longer “if” these transformations will occur, but how swiftly and coherently they’ll be woven into the fabric of leading organisations.

Congratulations to all the distinguished winners for setting new industry benchmarks and driving forward the frontiers of maritime excellence.
