Awake.AI and have partnered with Nordic-based AI lab Silo.AI to develop smart ports and vessels and improve port logistics in Finland.

As part of the 12-month partnership, the companies have developed two artificial intelligence solutions.

As more than 90% of Finland export pass through the ports, ship and port logistics development is necessary.

The companies have developed machine learning solutions that improve ports’ situational awareness with the help of freight and logistics chain analysis.

Cargo ship arrival time solution based on machine learning provides the time of arrival, offering an accurate and reliable estimation of the arrival and departure compared to other existing systems.

The partners said that the solution increases predicted arrival time by approximately 80%.

The second solution studies and monitors cargo and vehicles in ports using computer vision in real-time. It automates manual analysis, accelerates cargo logistics planning and improves possible exceptional situation detection.
