US-based cruise line Carnival is set to debut four new ships under the portfolios of AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Seabourn within this year.
The launch forms part of Carnival’s ongoing fleet enhancement strategy, which will see the delivery of 18 new ships between 2018 and 2022.
The company currently possesses a portfolio of ten cruise brands and operates a total of 103 vessels worldwide.
Carnival chief communications officer Roger Frizzell said: “Our fleet enhancement programme enables us to manage the overall fleet by aligning new ship deliveries with our strategy for measured capacity growth over time, while also refurbishing existing ships and phasing out less efficient vessels.
“It is a successful approach that helps us meet our number one priority, to consistently exceed our guests’ expectations.”
Carnival’s new ship to be operated under the Carnival Cruise Line, Carnival Horizon, is expected to be launched by April.
