Damen Shipyards Group has commenced the construction of a SeaXplorer 77 expedition yacht at its yard in Galati, Romania.
The 77m-long luxury expedition yacht is set to reach Damen’s Vlissingen East yard in the Netherlands once its hull is built.
Damen plans to complete the construction of the yacht at the Vlissingen East yard and expects to deliver the vessel by the last quarter of 2020.
Part of Damen’s SeaXplorer 77 yacht will be designed to carry 12 guests in six suites, as well as feature custom-made interiors.
A total of 25 crew, pilots and expedition staff will be deployed to operate the submersible, tenders, toys and two aircraft with a fully certified helideck and helicopter hangar.
Damen product director Mark Vermeulen said: “The SeaXplorer 77 is the largest of two projects we are currently constructing from our SeaXplorer range.
