GAC LNG Services has secured a deal from Tellurian to provide voyage management services for its liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, Maran Gas Mystras.
GAC’s global network of offices and approved agents will provide support to the vessel’s operations as part of the contract, while the company’s office in Houston will monitor its activities.
GAC North America Shipping managing director Bob Bandos said: “We look forward to growing with Tellurian as they further develop their LNG marketing and trading operations.”
GAC LNG was originally formed in 2016 and offers a range of services for the shipping sector, including charterers’ vessel operations, as well as technical and commercial information support services.
The company was primarily formed to provide the technical services required for safe, compliant and efficient port calls by gas carriers.
In addition, the Chevron Shipping Company (CSC) recently awarded a global three-year ship agency contract for both crude and LNG vessels to the GAC Group.
The agreement is expected to strengthen GAC’s business partnership with Chevron, acting as the shipping firm’s global agent.
All operations under the arrangement are set to be supervised by the GAC Hub Agency sites in Dubai, Houston and Singapore, with additional support from its global chain of offices and agents.
The company’s dedicated CSC Alliance Representative in Houston will continue to monitor and drive the relationship between the two organisations.
GAC Group America vice-president Lars Heisselberg said: “This contract represents an important milestone for GAC, as it solidifies our affiliation with CSC and allows us to further strengthen our service offerings and long-term relationship with them.”
