Denmark-based API Marine has won a contract from Russian shipyards JSC Zavod Krasnoe Sormovo and JSC Okskaya Sudoverf to supply cargo control, alarm and automation systems for 31 newbuildings.

The new ships are two series of river-sea tankers, developed to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class requirements.

The 6,980dwt vessels are designed for the transport of crude oil and petroleum products, providing simultaneous transportation of two types of cargo.

API Marine will supply fully integrated cargo control systems and MasterLoad cargo planning and loading computer systems for the vessels.

The delivery of the equipment will take place between October 2011 and the end of 2013.
