UK-based Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASV) has selected Planet Ocean as its technology partner to provide solutions for marine science applications.
Under a technology partnering agreement, the companies will work together on ASV’s C-Enduro, an autonomous surface vehicle, to provide standard and customised payloads for marine science missions.

The agreement calls for Planet Ocean to maximise the capabilities of the C-Enduro vehicle and provide end users with a payload configuration and installation, suitable for specified mission requirements.
Developed as part of the UK Government-backed small business research initiative (SBRI), the C-Enduro vehicle is designed to operate in all marine environments.
The vehicle uses energy harvesting technology and a self-righting hull to offer payload capacity and power, said Planet Ocean.
SBRI was started to cater to the National Oceanographic Centre’s requirements for long endurance unmanned surface vessels for environmental research.
