Maritime VSAT communications provider BlueTide Communications Corporation has launched a new application to monitor and manage vessels.
BlueVision app acts as a central touchpoint for fleet communication and enabling activities such as video streaming and deck snapshots, as well as instant contact with individual vessels.
The application offers 24/7 live video or request recorded video history of the deck and also allows users to take screenshots of any potential concerns and email the images from their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device.
BlueTide managing director Emil Regard said: "Our goal was to provide as much interactivity with the vessel as possible and to enable the user to share information across corporate functions, as well as with their customers.
"BlueVision is targeted to our customers who are primarily in the office but who need to easily manage and view their fleet remotely."
BlueVision also permits customers to communicate with their bridge and engine rooms and contact BlueTide’s global network operating center for additional support.
