France-based container shipping company CMA CGM Group has entered a strategic partnership with Indian technology firm Infosys to simplify and transform IT applications.
Under the new seven-year partnership, Infosys will open a new development and innovation centre in Marseilles, France.
Infosys will take control of CMA CGM IT's development centre in Dubai, UAE, to improve French company's presence in the Middle East.
In addition, Infosys will provide CMA CGM with the skills required to maintain its applications and develop systems applications products (SAP) projects.
CMA CGM will also receive new high value-added technologies to improve its skill and responsiveness as part of the new deal.
Under its ongoing digital transformation, CMA CGM will use Infosys Nia’s artificial intelligence platform and its scalable automation solution, AssistEdge, to upgrade its customer service, processes, and internal performance.
CMA CGM CEO Rodolphe Saadé said: “Innovation and digitalisation are at the heart of our strategy. Our ambition is to create a competitive advantage by offering our customers state-of-the-art technologies.
“The partnership with Infosys is key to attaining this objective. By setting up their centre for Innovation in Marseille, CMA CGM, as well as the region, will benefit from both their expertise and their proximity.”
Following implementation of the new technologies, CMA CGM expects to become more flexible and innovative.
