Daewoo wins LNG pair

South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has received a $400m order from Sweden-based Stena Bulk to build two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.

South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has received a $400m order from Sweden-based Stena Bulk to build two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.

The two 170,000cbm LNG carriers will be built at Geoje shipyard and are scheduled to be delivered in 2014.

The newbuilds will increase Stena’s LNG carrier fleet strength to five vessels.
