Deals this week: Maranda consortium, Cargotec, Royal Boskalis Westminster

The Maranda consortium has secured €3m ($3.19m) in EU funding under its Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking programme.

The Maranda consortium has secured €3m ($3.19m) in funding from the EU under its Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking programme.

Comprising PowerCell Sweden (publ), ABB, Suomen ympäristökeskus, Teknologian tutkimuskeskus, OMB Saleri, PersEE and Swiss Hydrogen, the consortium will use the financing to develop a new fuel cell system designed for marine applications.

Cargotec’s MacGregor unit has signed a three-year agreement with Peter Döhle Schiffahrts Group to provide its MacGregor Onboard Care (MOC) service to its fleet of 70 vessels.

"Royal Boskalis Westminster has been awarded a €480m contract (Sezad) for the construction of the port of Duqm, Oman."

Based in Finland, Cargotec is a manufacturer of cargo-handling machinery, while Peter Döhle Schiffahrts is a German shipping company.

Royal Boskalis Westminster (Boskalis) has been awarded a €480m ($510m) contract by the Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm (Sezad) for the engineering, design and construction of the port of Duqm, Oman.

Boskalis is a maritime infrastructure and services provider based in the Netherlands.
