AZP C65

Benetti, a yacht maker based in Italy, has awarded a contract to Rolls-Royce to deliver advanced propulsion equipment, including a series of thrusters over the next three years.

As part of the contract, Rolls-Royce will supply its AZP C65 thrusters, which are rated at 2MW each. AZP C65 uses carbon fibre material for the first time. The material is used for load carrying parts, reducing the system’s weight, vibration and noise.

Cooper Specialised Handling, a heavy lifting equipment manufacturer based in the UK, will supply a Mantsinen 160M wheeled hydraulic crane, the biggest to be installed in the UK and Ireland to date.

Designed for ships calling into the Belfast harbour, the large crane is expected to be delivered by the end of 2016.
