South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has received an order from SK Shipping to build three very large crude carriers (VLCC).

The VLCC trio will be 319,000dwt each and are scheduled to be delivered in March-June 2013.

The company has not disclosed the value of the order, according to asiasis.com.

According to reports, the VLCC newbuild is currently costing around $99m.
