Kongsberg Maritime has completed factory acceptance tests (FATs) for the K-Master aft bridge systems built at Havyard, Leirvik, Norway, to be installed on two platform supply vessels (PSV).

The PSVs are built for Sartor Offshore and Supply Service and are part of a four newbuild series featuring KONGSBERG K-Master, K-Pos Dynamic Positioning, C-Joy joystick control and K-Thrust thruster control.

The FATs vessels are scheduled to be delivered to Sartor Offshore and Supply Service in the first quarter of 2012.

K-Master is designed primarily to improve efficiency and safety by ensuring the operator has all information and control within reach.

Installation of the full Kongsberg Maritime systems aboard Havyard 103 and 106 will take place before the end of the year.
