Singapore’s Marco Polo Marine has received contracts from Pelayaran National Bina Buana Raya (BBR) to build two anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels for $27m.
The two AHTS vessels will be of 5,400bhp each and are expected to be delivered in late 2012.

Upon delivery, the vessels will be Indonesia flagged and deployed to provide services to the offshore oil and gas industries in Indonesia.
The company claims that the contract is expected to contribute positively to its consolidated profit after tax for the financial year ending 30 September 2012.
