Netherlands-based shipbuilder Royal IHC (IHC) has launched IHC IQIP, a new subsidiary formed by integrating four of its business units.
The units are IHC Hydrohammer, IHC Handling Systems, IHC Sea Steel and IHC Fundex Equipment.

IHC IQIP is expected to support the company in its efforts to provide a fully integrated solution for on- and offshore-installations, as well as foundation and decommissioning services to customers in the oil and gas, offshore wind and coastal and civil markets.
IHC IQIP executive director Jan Albert Westerbeek said: "By combining all of our experience and expertise as a market leader, we are able to offer an innovative and complete range of equipment and services.
"Approaching the market as one organisation means our customers will only have to deal with one point of contact, which benefits their project management and efficiency."
Within these combined units, IHC Hydrohammer designs, builds and supplies hydraulic piling hammers, while IHC Handling Systems develops and supplies offshore installations and removal equipment.

By GlobalDataIHC Sea Steel supplies a wide range of subsea installation and positioning frames, and IHC Fundex Equipment designs, manufactures and delivers multifunctional foundation rigs worldwide.
IHC CEO Bram Roelse said: "This merger was the next logical step in our desire to quickly respond to clients’ requirements. In this way we further strengthen this vital part of our activities and create room for further growth."
Earlier this year, IHC acquired Dutch deck equipment designer and manufacturer SAS Offshore, which it hopes will bolster its presence as a supplier of reliable integrated offshore systems and integrated vessels in the sector.
In addition, the company also purchased a majority stake in Brazil-based Brastec Technologies, which fully owns SAS Offshore.
