South Korea’s Total Marine Services (TMS) has developed a 1,000teu containership that meets ballast treatment system, EEDI rules, MLC 2006 and reduces both building and operation costs.

The company said that the recently developed containership has been designed with accumulated technical skills from ultra-large commercial and specialised ships, according to asiasis.com.

In March the company also developed an 3,800teu boxship that is expected to give a boost to the development of specialised ships and OSVs.
