French supply chain technology specialist Traxens has partnered with Indonesian firm PT Trans Kontainer Solusindo (TKS) to equip its smart reefer containers with tracking telematics technology.
The containers were fitted with Traxens smart solutions and delivered from the Taicang and Qingdao factories of China International Marine Containers (CIMC).
The company’s ‘internet-of-big-things’ solution has been deployed on a controlled-atmosphere reefer fleet.
In addition to offering complete information for managing logistics assets worldwide in real-time, the technology digitally transforms multi-modal supply chains and helps clients to cut costs, optimise investments, and obey environmental regulations.
Additionally, Traxens’ smart solutions generate value-added data, which can be beneficial for the whole shipping process including ports, freight forwarders, insurance and financial institutions.
Glenn Manoppo from PT TKSolusindo said: “Traxens’s novel technology is a great addition to the services we provide to our customers, who are keen on staying informed about their cargo’s whereabouts and conditions at all times.
“The reasonable and competitive pricing offered by Traxens were important in our decision when selecting the right partner for the digital transformation of our operations.”
The company provides a complete solution for the reefer industry, including its Reefer Fleet Management and Reefer Door-to-door Monitoring Cloud-based applications via the Traxens-Hub, which gathers data from devices installed on containers.
Traxens managing director Jacques Delort said: “We are delighted that our reefer tracking technology was chosen by PT TKSolusindo and we believe that our solution will support the company with the digital transformation of its shipping business.
“We look forward to further co-operations in Asia, a region where domestic and international shipping is crucial for economic success.”
