Hong Kong-based Wallem Group has selected BASSnet Fleet Management Systems to manage its entire fleet.

BASSnet will offer a total solution for maintenance, safety, operational and financial management to Wallem on a fleet-wide basis.

Wallem Group CEO Frank Coles said: “Having run several maritime software companies and considering the complexities of operations, compliance and the regulatory environment, I was keen to not reinvent the wheel.

“We have chosen to install a Cloud-based COTS solution, without customisation. Exactly how digitalisation is supposed to be done.

“In my view, offering transparency, analytics and business intelligence is the way forward for high-performance fleet management, and implementing a complete enterprise solution from BASSnet will allow us to integrate the power of big data with our business processes.”

BASS CEO and managing director Per Steinar Upsaker said that BASSnet Fleet Management Systems eliminates the dependency on numerous vendors for piecemeal software and offers convenience and security of managing an entire fleet using a single database on a new platform.

“Implementing a complete enterprise solution from BASSnet will allow us to integrate the power of big data with our business processes.”

Upsaker further added that BASSnet’s modular features and data-driven systems offer improved transparency and visibility, and help operators to modernise and increase fleet efficiency, asset management, and safety.
