Wallenius Sol, a shipping company based in the Bay of Bothnia, has completed the acquisition of Mann Lines, a provider of roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) liners and container vessel services, logistics, and forwarding.
This move aims to bolster Wallenius Sol’s platform, driving forward a “more sustainable and technologically advanced” shipping and logistics sector.

The acquisition presents a suite of advantages for both existing and prospective clients, including an expanded service network reaching Ireland and Spain.
Financial details of the deal have not been confirmed.
Customers will benefit from a wider array of customised solutions in container services, logistics, and forwarding. This collaboration is also set to improve service reliability by merging routes to boost capacity and regularity, ensuring timely deliveries for customers.
The Mann Lines Logistics brand will be leveraged to further develop the logistics services of the combined entity, according to Wallenius Sol.

The acquisition will also enhance local expertise and presence, with Wallenius Sol establishing new offices in Estonia, Latvia, and the UK, and increasing its footprint in Finland, Germany, and the Benelux countries.
With minimal customer overlap, Wallenius Sol will gain approximately 200 new clients, adding to its existing customer base.
