WE Tech Solutions has received additional orders for its energy-efficient solutions, which will be installed in four liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers.
The new vessels will be built by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea.

WE Tech Solutions will supply its permanent magnet shaft generator solution.
The solution will help in cutting down carbon emissions, fuel consumption, along with operational expenses.
In conjunction with the frequency drive technology, the shaft generator solution will be able to generate electrical power for vessel operation.
The electrical power will be produced by the solution over a wide main engine speed range.
WE Tech Solutions sales manager Martin Andtfolk said: “Our solution is very compact and fits perfectly to this type of gas carriers. With permanent magnet shaft generator technology, the energy efficiency of the solution reaches unmatched levels in the marine industry.”
Building on WE Techs system integration platform, the solution can smoothly integrate with other control systems on board the ship.
Furthermore, the solution has an intelligent redundancy feature to minimise the risk of a blackout when the shaft generator is solely responsible for generating electrical power.
Andtfolk added: “This further minimises the need for running auxiliary engines, and thus, also further cuts carbon emissions.”
WE Tech specialises in providing solutions based on variable frequency drives, DC-link power distribution, permanent magnet technology, and power management systems.
The solutions supplied by the company are suitable for newbuilds and retrofits.
