Superyacht Luminara will be luxury cruise operator Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s third new-build superyacht.

Luminara is being constructed at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Sant-Nazaire, France. It will follow its predecessors, Evrima and Ilma.

The steel-cutting ceremony for the yacht was held in June 2023, while the keel-laying ceremony took place in March 2024.

The new superyacht is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage in July 2025 on a seven-night voyage from Rome, calling at ports at Valletta, Siracusa, Taormina, Amalfi, and Sorrento.

Engine details of Luminara

Luminara will be powered by four Wartsila 31 dual-fuel engines, using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the primary fuel to significantly reduce emissions.

Additionally, Wartsila will supply four selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, one for each engine, to further reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by using catalyst elements and a reducing agent.
