A replacement for a broken intermediate shaft

Thanks to our extensive stock of raw material, we can start manufacturing immediately. We only stock class-approved steel/raw material of European origin, and we work hard to find material in many grades and dimensions to meet any request.

Recently we came to the rescue of a container vessel that suffered a broken intermediate shaft.

In only 12 running days, we manufactured a new intermediate shaft with the dimensions Ø1050/Ø506/1260×8420 mm.

The new Intermediate shaft was sent by aircraft to South Korea, where the vessel was in dock. We designed and manufactured the transport crating (made of IPPC approved wood), to fit the intermediate shaft,

EQUIPPED to handle your emergency of any dimension

Our goal is always to have the capacity, the skilled technicians, and the classed material on stock to meet your need for repair or replacement.

As you probably know, we extended one of our workshops by 1,400m² and doubled our crane capacity to 200t.

Our new Skoda lathe has been spinning around happily since. It has both turning & milling devices, and it has a 2.2m swing over slideways. We use the lathe for both repairs and new manufacturing.

We have several hydraulic presses in the workshop for all sizes – ready to cold straighten shafts from Ø20-1,500mm in diameter with full class approval. Right now, two 23m long propeller shafts from a Danish Navy vessel are being taken care of in our workshop
