Congratulations go to two Comet staff who have been promoted to key new roles. Justine Heeley moves to sales director from international sales manager and Claire Lidstone becomes financial controller, having previously been management accountant.
Justine says, “My aim is to work closely with our worldwide distributor network to promote the key benefits and value offered by Comet products and to put in place systems that make it easier for all our customers to deal with Chemring Marine.”
It’s a fitting accolade to mark Justine’s ten years of service with Chemring Marine (Comet’s parent company), her success in supporting its global distributor network and overall responsibility for Chemring Marine sales.
For Claire, 2009 is set to be an extra special year as she is planning to marry her fiancé Mark Newland in June. She says, “My aims in the new role are to continue the development of the reporting systems in the company and to distributors, as well as to continue and finish my Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.”
Claire has also worked for media company The Aziz Corporation and Xyratex (formerly IBM), which is where she met Mark, as well as being finance manager for Hampshire Cosmetics.
