Chemring Marine, the world’s leading supplier of marine distress signals to commercial and leisure marine markets, has had a hugely successful Nor-Shipping show.
The company received strong interest in its SOLAS, MED and USCG-approved Comet and Pains Wessex products.
Managing director Robert Hill, sales director Justine Heeley and sales manager Holger Muegge met key clients and distributors on their busy stand in Hall C and answered inquiries about their reliable and cost-effective range of products.
The team attended the SASMEX safety awards dinner and were guests at a reception at the British Embassy. In addition, Justine was a delegate at the ILAMA (International Lifesaving Appliance Manufacturers’ Association) annual meeting, at which former Chemring Marine employee Jim Booth was elected chairman.
Justine says, “The quality of business inquiries at Nor-Shipping was first-class. We are following up a number of sales and distributor inquiries and strong leads, especially in new markets.”
A record 1,105 exhibitors took part in Nor-Shipping, in Oslo, from 9-12 June and visitor numbers were up around 20&37;.
Tollef Schiander, director for Nor-Shipping says, “This year’s Nor-Shipping has been more popular than ever. In a time of crisis, the market has come here to rally.”
