The Denmark distributor of leading marine distress signals brand Comet has a new sales director.

Ole Schønwandt has joined Uni-Safe, Denmark’s leading supplier of marine safety and rescue equipment to professional, military and leisure marine users.

Uni-Safe, which has workshops in Copenhagen and Frederikshavn, was among Comet distributors who exhibited at Germany’s SMM trade exhibition in Hamburg this month. There was strong demand from show visitors for Comet products.

Uni-Safe was founded in 1972 as a yacht and ship chandlery and now is a total supplier of life-saving equipment for the professional aviation and shipping industries.

The company is the leading supplier in Denmark of rescue equipment and inflatable boats to professional and military users as well as recreational yachtsmen.

Uni-Safe’s service centre has more than 1,200m² of service facilities and specialised workshops for liferafts up to 150 people, MES systems, MOB boats, FRB boats, RHIB boats, inflatable boats and other inflatable and safety related products.

Altogether, Chemring Marine’s comprehensive range of Comet marine distress signals is available through a global network of more than 200 distributors in 80-plus countries.
