The world’s leading marine distress signal company Chemring Marine has appointed a new marketing coordinator.
Victoria Jones, who was Chemring Marine’s former sales administrator, started the new role in marketing at the beginning of March 2011.
Victoria has being increasingly active in providing marketing support for distributors and customers over the last six months. She has proved to have a flare for marketing and is keen to develop Chemring Marine’s marketing strategies and distributor support programmes for the future.
Chemring Marine is the world’s leading supplier of SOLAS, MED and USCG-approved marine distress signals to commercial and leisure marine markets through the Pains Wessex brand. The company, part of the Chemring Group, is based in Whiteley, near Fareham.
Victoria says, “My previous role has given me a sound platform in marketing and enabled me to learn about our product range as well as having daily contact with our global distributor network.
I am looking forward to helping bring together a number of new initiatives this year, including launching our redesigned website and organising a conference for our worldwide network of distributors.”
To further prepare her in the new role, Victoria plans to attend Southampton’s Solent University and complete a marketing course. Victoria initially joined Chemring Marine three years ago as sales administrator.
She says, “I particularly enjoy organising Chemring Marine’s presence at trade exhibitions and events for distributors and key contacts in addition to helping our sales team to promote our Pains Wessex brand.”
Available through over 200 distributors in more than 80 countries, Chemring Marine’s comprehensive range of products has been helping to save lives for more than 100 years and is specified by the world’s navies, merchant fleets, fishing vessels, rescue services, airlines and leisure craft.
Chemring Marine is at the forefront of campaigning for improved global marine safety regulations, including introducing standardised rules on replacing dated safety products.
