Finnish company Konecranes has received an order from Piattaforma Logistica Trieste (PLT) for eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Crane.

The crane will be used at the new terminal in the Port of Trieste in Italy after its delivery, which is scheduled for September.

It will handle containers, heavy project cargo and general cargo.

The new Konecranes Gottwald Model 5 Mobile Harbor Crane will be in the G HMK 5506 variant.

The order also includes two twin-lift spreaders that have a capacity of 60t for containers.

The crane will have a maximum working radius of 51m and a lifting capacity of 125t. The crane can be used for vessels up to post-Panamax classes.

The crane includes smart features such as a hoisting height assistant and landside lowering function.

It is compatible with an external power supply, which eases the conversion to an electric operation when possible.

The cranes will have built-in readiness for an external power supply, so conversion to electric operation will be easy when resources allow.

In May, the company received an order to deliver an eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 Mobile Harbor Crane to Flinders Logistics at Port Adelaide, Australia.
