Helping to expand Glander International Bunkering’s geographical presence, the merger enables the company to have access to Scandinavian Bunkering’s existing customer-base.
With the merger, Scandinavian Bunkering will change its name and rebrand to Glander International Bunkering (Norway), with Scandinavian’s managing director Erik Rankin Vinde running the operations of the rebranded company.
Additionally, Glander International Bunkering will gain access to Scandinavian Bunkering’s existing operations in Norway and Singapore.
Vinde said: “Scandinavian Bunkering has enjoyed continued success throughout its 23 years in the industry and the merge with Glander International Bunkering represents exciting times ahead for the company.
“By merging we are initiating the best set up for the future and together we will be able to deliver a remarkably streamlined international service.
“We will be bringing with us a team of industry leading traders, who are valued across the globe for their skills, results and experience.”
Expected to create new and better resources, the merger will provide improved access to business professionals, stronger purchasing power and better internal administration services.
Glander International Bunkering managing director and CEO Christoffer Berg Lassen said: “The union of Glander International Bunkering and Scandinavian Bunkering will reinforce the group’s core values and in turn develop customer benefits.
“The Norwegian office will not only represent a new geographical area for service but reinforces the group’s stance as a serious international market player.”
The merger will also provide a more specialised pool of knowledge to Glander International Bunkering clients.
