Trelleborg, through its business area Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, has finalised the acquisition of the Netherlands-based engineering company that provides specially engineered anti-vibration solutions within marine applications, Loggers Rubbertechniek, for an undisclosed sum.

With the purchase, Trelleborg aims to boost its position in anti-vibration operations within marine applications sector in Europe.

Loggers Rubbertechniek, which has sales office in Germany, designs and develops solutions that reduce noise and diminishes vibrations and shocks, particularly for onboard ship systems.

"Loggers is a niche company with recognised skilled engineers at the forefront of the design and development of anti-vibration solutions."

Last year, the company recorded a sum of SEK110m ($13m) in sales.

Trelleborg Industrial Solutions business area president Mikael Fryklund said: "I am delighted to welcome the acquired operation into Trelleborg.

The company said that the deal would be consolidated immediately.

Trelleborg, which operates in five different business sectors, produces engineered polymer solutions that seal, damp and protect critical applications in challenging environments.

Last December, the company completed the acquisition of Denmark-based company Marimatech, which provides marine positioning and piloting systems and specialises in the development of software used for docking or mooring ships offshore or in ports.

The acquisition expects to help expanding and supporting Trelleborg’s product portfolio within berthing, docking and mooring solutions for ports and vessels.
