GF Piping Systems and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard (SWS) held the contract signing ceremony with GF Piping Systems China general manager Mr. Yuan Lihuiand and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard general manager Mr. Zhou Qi to open a new chapter for the cooperation between the two parties.

Since 2019, GF Piping Systems has provided corrosion-free, lightweight, and easy-to-install plastic piping systems for SWS’s first newly built large luxury cruise ship. The chosen solutions included Sanipex MT, Instaflex, ecoFIT and SeaDrain® White pipes and fittings. The systems cover most of this new build project’s water supply and drainage pipes. GF Piping Systems also supported SWS during the construction process with specialised installation training on-site and quality control to ensure high-quality installations for a long service life and maintenance-free operation of the thermoplastic water solutions.

After the cooperation for the first luxury cruise ship, GF Piping Systems has won the trust and recognition of SWS and will now continue to provide high-quality piping system solutions for Cruise Project H1509, the second large luxury cruise ship of the same class.

GF Piping Systems has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry. It has provided sustainable water solutions for many internationally renowned cruise liners.

“SWS has a high position in the cruise industry. A deeper and stronger strategic relationship between GF Piping Systems and SWS is what we are looking forward to. We have been working hard to improve customer proximity because growing together with the customers is our core value. We call it connections for life,” says GF Piping Systems Global Industries Asia cum China head of sales Kelly Chen.
