Marine Fenders International (MFI) has been selected by the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) to supply 29 each of our Ocean Guard™ high-capacity foam-filled marine fenders for berths 90–92 and 93A–93B cruise terminal waterside improvements.

In January 2005 MFI successfully supplied nine each of our Ocean Guard high-capacity foam-filled marine fenders in the first phase of the upgrade.

The new order of April 2010 is for the continued upgrade and is based on the facilities’ demand analysis that forecasts the continued cruise demand of US West Coast Southern California homeports. One of the major keys to growth for the region and ports along the US West Coast is the capacity to expand cruise facilities. Thus, the POLA has an opportunity to capture any new additional deployments with new cruise terminals / berths in place.
