The CompactClean BWMS is available in an ATEX and IECEx certified version, with flowrates from 250 m³/hr, making installation in hazardous zones on board oil, chemical, or chemical and oil tankers possible.

The system itself is approved for installation in the Hazardous Zone (zone 1).
