The material offers the following advantages over traditional bearing materials:

  • Non-conductive it protects against electrolytic corrosion
  • Virtually no swell in water
  • Dry running capability
  • Protects housings from corrosion
  • Elasticity reduces the effects of hammering
  • Tolerant to misalignment and shaft deflections
  • Raw material tubes available from stock or can be manufactured in one or two working days
  • Easily machined on site
  • Classification approval for up to 15N/mm²

When an interference fit is utilised:

  • Can be fitted using a press / jacks or freeze-fitted with liquid nitrogen
  • Can be fitted using a press / jacks or freeze-fitted with liquid nitrogen
  • No additional retention method required
