Evac - Environmental Wastewater Management Systems for the Marine Industry

Evac designs, manufactures and markets environmentally friendly wastewater collection and treatment solutions for the marine industry.

Evac Marine is the market leader in its field. Our 30 years in the business have given us extensive experience and well over 8,000 customer references. Evac equipment, such as vacuum toilet systems, sewage ejector units and vacuum collecting components, has been installed in all kinds of vessels ranging from sailing yachts and luxury cruise liners to submarines. We guarantee lifetime support for our products.

We are ISO 9001: 2000 certified by Lloyd's for quality assurance and also carry ISO 14001: 1996 environmental certification.

VACUUM TOILET SYSTEMS FOR MARINE VESSELS

Nine out of ten of the biggest shipyards use vacuum toilet systems as their standard sanitation solution, showing that vacuum systems clearly have a cost advantage over gravity systems. Overall, the seemingly higher cost of vacuum toilets and collecting components is offset by savings on piping material costs and installation time.

Evac Marine manufactures the following vacuum toilet systems.

Evac Classic. An innovative new model designed using high quality porcelain for cargo vessels and cruise line crew cabins.

Evac 900. This model emerged in tests as the best vacuum toilet available (VTT -Technical Research Centre of Finland). The elegant and ergonomic Evac 900 toilets are available in both wall- and floor-mounted models and in three seat variants: Mosaic, Split front and the new Prestige Silent.

Special models. Evac toilets are also available as shock-tested stainless steel models for professional navy and military use, and as squatting models.

SEWAGE EJECTOR SYSTEMS, VACUUM TANKS AND COLLECTING UNITS

Ejector units. Known as "Evac technology", ejector solutions are installed in all sizes and types of vessels. In ejector systems, wastewater from collecting, holding or treatment tanks is circulated by a centrifugal pump through an ejector nozzle, where a pressure difference is created by the Venturi effect.

Vacuum tank units are a new, heavy-duty series of vacuum tank solutions for passenger and military vessels. Traditional method is enhanced by new pump technology.

Online units are designed for vessels in which the wastewater-collecting tank is combined directly with a vacuum source.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY

Effective and reliable wastewater treatment is achieved only by correct dimensioning of the technology. It is extremely important to know and be able to control wastewater characteristics (concentration, flow, peak loads). Evac's long experience with wastewater characteristics and our ongoing research program give us a clear advantage in the field of wastewater treatment.

Evac STP is a line of standard biological sewage treatment plants, mainly for cargo vessels. Third generation Evac units are available in both coated carbon steel and stainless steel.

Evac MBR. A new standard membrane bioreactor series for black and grey water in vessels carrying up to 300 passengers, the Evac MBR is a serious alternative to traditional biological units. With its membrane technology, it can easily fulfil all current and future treatment requirements. In certain cases, effluent from the unit can even be re-cycled for dedicated use.

Evac ZEBRA - new custom-made advanced wastewater treatment solutions for passenger and navy vessels. The Zebra technology is based on effective wastewater pre-screening, membrane bioreactor technology with submerged Kubota membranes and electro-coagulation. Single or dual stream options are available depending on ship type, operation and available space.
