Weather-resistant radar scanners

Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine delivers several sizes of radar scanners, including X-Band and S-Band antenna and high-speed turning units. Our series of S-Band radar scanner antennas are the best solution in extreme weather conditions and are provided with both 9ft and 12ft antennas. The X-Band radar scanner incorporates the design for coastal surveillance and is provided in either a 4ft, 6ft or 8ft antenna.

Reliable gyrocompass for all environmental conditions and short power failures

In order to meet modern demands on navigation and ship control technology, Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine has developed the NAVIGAT X MK 1. It is an advanced low-weight, digital marine gyroscope system that can be installed on any bridge on any vessel. The unique method of supporting the system by means of mere buoyancy, ensures north stabilisation during short power failures.

The gyrocompass ensures great accuracy and maximum reliability under all environmental conditions. Operational safety of the gyro compass uses a patented data transmission technology instead of slip rings. Providing proven technology, the gyrocompass is a long-time, secure investment with low operation costs and long periods without requiring maintenance.
