Oasis of the Seas Luxury Cruise Liner
Oasis of the Seas is the first of the Oasis Class (formerly the Genesis Class or project Genesis) luxury cruise ships in the Royal Caribbean International (RCI) fleet.
FIPRO is the market leader for the supply of interior noncombustible panels and various decorative elements on board of all types of vessels as well as platforms worldwide in public spaces. It is safe and easy to work with, and can be used in all areas of a vessel. In addition FIPRO has approvals for A, B and C class divisions to IMO SOLAS standards with leading classification societies and authorities i.e. Bureau Veritas. Therefore our fire-protection boards meet the demanding international requirements of official safety and fire protection regulations aboard ships in every respect.
Our panels incorporate vermiculite, a rare and environmentally friendly natural mineral. Our panels have used vermiculite ever since asbestos was rendered obsolete due to its carcinogenic risks. Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineral which is free of hazardous substances (quartz, fibres, silicates, etc.) and poses no health risks during installation or disposal.
FIPRO products are perfect for cruise ships, ferries, river passenger vessels, mega-yachts, commercial vessels and offshore platform accommodations. FIPRO can be used for interior wall systems (bulkheads, linings), floating floors, ceilings or post-formed and curved elements, as well as doors, in various finished options (i.e. high-pressure laminates, wood veneers, vinyls, paints, wall paper, stainless steels, ceramics and real marbles).
FIPRO has been used onboard a large number of well-known vessels, including:
FIPRO panels have also been in use for over 20 years in most major shipyards, including STX-France, STX Finland, Meyer Pappenburg Germany, Fincantieri Group Italy, Samsung and Daewoo-Shipyard Korea, and Mitshubishi Shipyard Japan.
The FIPRO range of products also includes a wide range of jointing profiles made of steel, aluminium, stainless steel or PVC for the installation of decorative wall and ceiling panels on board of ships. Our delivery program can include professional engineering. Based on general arrangement and regulations of SOLAS 74 it starts with detailed accommodation plans, elevation drawings, followed by grid plans and specifications for walls, ceilings, profiles and doors.
FIPRO boards are made from vermiculite (aluminum-iron-magnesium-silicate), a natural inorganic mineral belonging to the mica-minerals group, which expands with application of heat. The expansion process is called exfoliation and it is accomplished in specially designed high temperature furnaces which produce a lightweight aggregate that is blended with inorganic binders and pressed to form FIPRO boards.
